Really. You can count. I've done three so far and here's the fourth! Check out these awesome and talented (also very attractive) female costumers of my acquaintance. Remember to take some time for some links and crap, cause its more rewarding than an Easter egg hunt. Easier too.
*Jessika Phoenix
Jessika Phoenix's Fan Page
Jessika is a fairly recent acquaintance. She and I met when I was visiting a friend in LA and I liked her. I later became friends with her on fb (as is usually the case) and found her truly awesome costumes! She's dedicated to the costume and the character and it really shows. She BECOMES Phoenix, or Selene or whomever else she has decided she wants to be. She works hard to keep her body rockin' and makes everything look amazing. Further more, she has access to some great photographers (as you'll see on her fan page) and thereby makes the characters do their own photoshoot. You're not seeing her, you're seeing Black Widow or Selene in a special shoot. It's truly an acting ability that brings that extra bang to the character. Anyway, watch her page for her many awesome costumes and her incredible love of football.
*Kit Quinn
Kit's Youtube
Kit (Harley in this picture) is rarely seen without her counterpart, Tallest Silver (Ivy in this picture, will be mentioned in another post). The two are indeed a dynamic duo, not stopping with this awesome duet, but moving onto many other fantastic characters. Kit has been a fantastic Wonder Woman, a wonderful Dr. Mrs. The Monarch and a host of other amazing characters. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting the woman in person, but I have heard she's a lovely and sweet person and I hope to confirm that one day. My favorite of her costumes is probably ANY Harley, because she always knocks it out of the park. She clearly has an affinity for the character and I love what she does with it.
*Tally
Ironette's Fan Page
(I had never seen this fantastic photo of Tally and was happy to find it on google!!)
Tally is one of the first truly SERIOUS costumer I met. If it weren't for her and her amazing gaggle of ladies stuck in one room for D*con I wouldn't have been introduced to the side of costuming that has made up so much of my life since then. Her attention to detail is impressive and astounding. Her dedication to what makes the costume *real*, regardless of how hot or tight or painful or heavy it may be is what makes her the costumer I love. She truly loves the character and wants to be that character in every way possible. Her dedication to Pepper Potts (reading every comic, watching the movies a billion times and cutting her hair appropriately) is more than I can even comprehend doing for a costume. That she does it is why I think she's amazing. That and her wonderful wit, and giving nature and bangin' body. Rock on you geeky hippie, rock on.
*Riddle
Riddle's Fan Page
Riddle is one of those costumers I found on the web and stalked for a while before I realized she wasn't some sort of foreign model but a con-going awesome costumer just like many of my friends. Riddle is a hardcore geek and manages to flow back and forth between the "normal" female costumes and the ones that are rarely done and even then... rarely done well. I have to say, right off the bat, my favorite Riddle costume is her Wasp. It's so spot on I'm always aghast when I see a picture. She completely nails this one, and of course this Black Cat as well. Really, there isn't a costume that Riddle has ever done "ok" she's always done an amazing job at every costume I've seen her sport. Character, facial expression, costume details-she gets it all. Riddle, you may not know me, but you impress me.
*Alisa Kiss/Chan
Alisa's Myspace
(Alisa also has a personal site, which is awesome, but I thought I would keep it at least *slightly* family friendly. Let's at least pretend I care about your sensibilities.)
Of the many many many many many wonderful pictures available of Alisa's many many many many wonderful costumes I decided to choose one of the first I saw her in. One of the things I like about this costume is that Alisa uses her real and gorgeous white-blonde hair to finish this look. This isn't my favorite picture of her, but it'll do. Alisa has rocked any number of spectacular costumes and it would take me a good month to put together a list. She makes almost all of her own stuff and is always up for taking spectacular pictures in them (seeing as she's a self-made model that helps). She's also a very sweet, understanding and fun person. For me, her love of Rocky Horror is what sets her apart from some of the other costumers, and she does the show too! I have to say, though, my favorite is her new Vampirella. Mostly because I've rarely seen a well-done Vampirella that is at once sexy and still not over-the-top cheesy. We all anxiously await her next creation.
Ok, I'm wiped. Thus concludes my fourth installment of sexy female costumers. In sets of five. (Counts again). Yeah, five.
I feel I should add an additional disclaimer that I have not taken any of the pictures thus far posted in my pages. Except of that one of Colleen. I took that. Other than that I have googled every single photo and posted from that page I found it on. I felt this was the fairest way to post pictures without naming photographers. If you're at all offended by it, I'll change 'em. Thanks!
Don't worry, I don't expect you to laugh.

Blah blah blah hot chicks in costume.
The much anticipated third installment of my female costumers that rock more than gravy covered tater-tots. I think you've got the idea by now, so lets start!
*Colleen
While, obviously, being an incredibly creative and beautiful woman, this costumer is also a Derby girl. That's right, not only can she kick ass with a sewing machine and any material, she can also knock you down on some skates. She's been my inspiration as I've continued costuming and is always always always coming up with some new project that makes all the other projects look like a lame Pimp My Ride episode. Not the cool ones. I chose this picture (among the two I could find on google) for its evidence of her superior creativity. My favorite of her current costumes, though, is probably her female Dr. Strange. She did this for the first time this year, and it looked amazing. She hand painted giraffe print arm warmers... I think that's all I have to say.
*Sherita
I have had the pleasure of chatting with this lovely lady several years in a row. She's an incredible sweetheart and a dedicated costumer. This year, she got painted blue to finish the proper look of a character, which is amazing. She is often accompanied by her man, who is also awesome (but I don't want to get sidetracked). I love seeing what she chooses and I love that she enjoys repeating her costumes. She has a knack for the specific characters that work best for her. I can't wait to see what she does next year, I can only hope I get to chat with her longer than I did this year!
*Jessica
Jessica's Fan Page
I was SO surprised to learn that Jess is new to the costuming scene. New as in... Just started this year. I'm blown away by her talent and ability to really get the character. Already she's a favorite of the artist who actually DREW AND DESIGNED THE DANGER GIRLS comic. She's a wonderful model, a very sweet person, and as you can see here a dead ringer for Abbey Chase. I didn't get a chance to really see most of her costumes this year, but I think Abbey is my favorite. She's really got the entire idea down. Talking to her has revealed some of what she has plans for the future. If its anything like what she's accomplished so far, she's going to be a dynamite costumer!! Keep an eye out for this one, cause she's going to blow you away. Probably not with that gun.
*Princess Sandy
Princess Sandy's Fan Page
As you can see, Maxim even finds this girl to be spectacular. She's a huge Star Wars fan, and her costumes always turn out stupendous. Take a look at her fan page to see some of the other wonderful pieces she's done, because I can't say enough about them. She's a super sweet lady, a blonde bombshell and a stunning costumer. She gets outside of the SW lines as well, having done a very nice Princess Bride and a host of other costumes I can't even begin to describe.
*Meagan
Meagan's website
Another Meagan who rocks the costuming... This lady is my star. I'm actually jealous of her ability to bring these characters to life. She's done EVERY costume I had originally planned to do, and so much better than I ever could. This Aphrodite IX is evidence of such. She's also brought to life, in stunning result, Poison Ivy, the Magdalena and Sydney Savage. My four all-time NEED-to-do-costume costumes and she's done them with such amazing ability I'm at a loss for words. If I ever meet this girl I'm pretty sure I'll fan gush and she'll think I'm a crazy spaz. Ah well. I'm happy there's another lady out there hitting these visions straight out of the park because its an awesome treat for the eye. I'll continue stalking her from a distance and gush over every new costume she does. (Much like I did for her newest Lara Croft).
Ok, not as many fan pages this time, but you get the drift. I'm trying to space out the fan pages because there aren't a lot left on the list... Apparently not enough of these ladies know how incredibly awesome they are and how much people love to see their costumes! Hopefully I can post another of these soon...

Argh
Here's the deal kids.
I've been working on another list of costumers. I've had so much fun with the first two sets and I've really enjoyed this.
I went through 6 of my friends and favorite female costumers today trying to find a picture of them in costume on google, and failed. I couldn't find any pictures, they don't have a fan page and I don't want to base this on MY photos and association. These girls are awesome costumers, they're just not easy to find... So I'll be posting another set of five today, but it won't include those 6 amazing costumers I had wanted to post, but wasn't comfortable stealing images I couldn't find with google. Maybe I'll put them in their own post...
Thanks for reading the first two sets everyone, they've gotten some positive feedback and I was really happy with the people who are checking out their pages. Keep it up!

ANOTHER Five Fabulous Female Costumers
I said I was going to do another round, and here it is. Five wonderful costumers I find to be very awesome. I'm doing my best to google all the images I post and add their fan pages if they have them. If they don't, then I'll just post what I can... Enjoy!!
*Tara
Tara's Fan Page
Tara is a truly wonderful person. I was only recently lucky enough to meet her, and boy am I glad. Somehow I had managed to miss her FANTASTIC costumes and incredibly creative ideas over the years. From her supremely inventive Dolly Deathstar to her beautifully mastered Red Riding Hood (so gory!) she nails it every time. After having met her wonderful parents, I know where she gets it, but she really brings the creativity to new and funnier levels. Every costume, handmade by her (occasionally helped by a friend or family member), is... there are no words. Stupendous, amazing, fantastic, they just don't do the trick. Her skill with costuming is beyond description. If that wasn't mind blowing enough, she's one of the sweetest and most amazing people I've ever met. I'm always excited over the chance to chill with her for even a few minutes.
If you want a taste of some of her other amazing costuming/creative skills, go check out her Etsy shop where you can actually OWN SOME OF HER SKILL YOURSELF. Mind blowing.
*Stabitha
What's sexier than a costumer in tight white spandex? A costumer in tight white spandex who loves proper English. I've been privileged enough to see this girl every year for the past three years now. Unfortunately she lives too far away, but I get to stalk her online sometimes! She is wonderful at really feeling the character and getting into her persona. Better yet, every year she has new costumes! Fantastic, interesting and awesome costumes that I can't wait to discover! My favorite of her costumes is probably her Red Lantern Mera costume, it's very sexy and super shiny. Also... a little scary. Much love to this woman and her awesome costuming skills!
*Andrea
If you go to conventions, you've seen this girl. Rockin' some wonderful costumes. This Sydney Savage is only one of the super costumes she's done and every time she looks stunning! A Star Wars fan at the core, she has branched out into some very creative and difficult costumes, such as her WOW character done this year. The time and effort she puts into creating and sewing her costumes is evident in the end result. She's talented and she truly wants the character to be seen in these costumes. Aside from the movie/comic/video game characters she's already brought to life, she's also the face behind the Super Hero(ine) Deodorant Dame! Helping to keep the conventions smelling sweet and pleasant. We thank her for her efforts and talent!
*Dark Star Costuming
Dark Star Costuming Fan Page
Before I ever knew this spectacular woman, I was seeing her costumes and pictures of her costumes all over the conventions and internet. I was aghast at the way she managed to completely transform into these characters and how the costumes were always spot-on. At first I didn't even know it was the same woman, until I found the gold mine of a fan page for her costuming. Clicking through the photos I kept thinking "wait, that's her too?!" Every year she comes out with a plethora of stunning costumes that are so spectacularly well done I just want to applaud. Oddly enough, my favorite of her costumes is her Anita Blake (of the Laurell K. Hamilton novels) because she managed to perfectly embody a character that is difficult to pinpoint. Outside of my personal love for that character, she's also transformed herself into a gorgeous Poison Ivy, and a very tempting Catwoman. I await her next costume with baited breath.
*Caribean Sera
Caribean Sera's fan page
Pictured here with one of my favorite geeks, Seth Green, is Sera. Another of my favorite geeks. This lovely model/costumer is one of my absolutely favorite Slave Leia's. If you've ever been to a convention website you know there are a LOT of these women, so that means a lot. She is adorable, sweet and a much stronger woman than I could even imagine. Or possibly describe here on a little blog. I've only seen a few of her costumes, but she does such a great job with every one that I'm positive I will love them all. My favorite is her new Lilah outfit from Jonah Hex. Watching from beginning to amazing result, she's done a great job and managed to really bring this costume to life. I haven't even seen the movie and I'm pretty sure... Sera looks better in this outfit. If, for some insane reason, you get bored drooling over her wonderful fan page, go check out her cause, Tracie's Tooth Fairy, and see the good she's doing.
If I haven't given you plenty of awesome things to check out, you're not paying attention. Go back and read again cause you're disappointing me. If you're too busy checking out those pages to read this, then you get a gold star (void where prohibited).
I've already got the list of lovely costumers for the next 5 planned, so I hope you're looking forward to more amazing costumes and hot ladies. Who wouldn't be?

Favorite Fantastic Female... Costumers.
It's no secret I have a passion for costuming. I LOVE dressing up, planning, making and procuring... It's so much fun. Playing the character is the cherry on top of the most awesome sundae.
What isn't so well known is my incredible passion for STALKING the lovely costumers! I spend a lot of time on Facebook (or wherever they happen to show up) my favorite costumers/models and their pictures. I can't wait to see what they do next and love to see the progress photos and plans for new costumes. They're such wonderful people and they do such amazing work with their costumes that I'm always blown away.
I thought I would pay homage to my favorite ladies, and I started a list... and it just kept going. I was going to scrap the project, but realized that with all the negative thoughts and energy floating around out there right now, I wanted to make sure they felt the love.
In waves of 5 I'll be posting my FAVORITE FEMALE COSTUMERS and a link to their fan page if they have it.
*Miracole
Miracole Fan Page
(I decided to google every image I use to show how amazing these women are)
Miracole is what I would call a level 10 costumer. She's got it all. She stays in amazing shape, makes these supremely amazing costumes and models her ass off to come up with perfect pictures. On top of all of that, she's such a sweet and polite person. I honestly can't pick a favorite, she's got so many amazing costumes. I can't say enough about this costumer crush, just pick my jaw up off of the floor and move on.
*Megatron (Maygin)
Maygin Fan Page
Maygin is a relatively new costumer. She's always been a creative and talented person, but recently she expanded into putting herself into costume, with fantastic results. Her costumes show a creativity and understanding of the end result that I always have a hard time with. She has learned to take the idea and make it into something more than most people would ever consider. I think my favorite of her costumes is this femme-Joker. I love this look, it takes the crazy and strange and she makes it sexy and awesome. I'm so excited to see what she does next because I know its going to be creative and stupendous.
*Onyx Roses
Onyx Roses Fan Page
There is nothing she can't do. I've seen her rock everything from Buffy the Vampire Slayer to the Black Lantern Wonder Woman. Such a range of ability and adaptability, its stunning. While I could go on an on about her ability to be any character she chooses, and sexily at that, I have to mention her most impressive ability: her sewing. This lady makes ball gowns that would have been the most impressive at any ball in the 1600's. In any decade really. They flow, they hug, they cinch, they flounce, they do everything a gown is supposed to do and in all the right places. Her Mina is spectacular and is at once as amazing and completely different from her other dresses. In fact, I'm going to say her Mina is my favorite costume. She manages to be completely covered up and appear haunting in any light. All that and she still stays sexy and alluring.
*Nova
Nova Fan Page
It's impossible to decide which Nova does better, modeling or costuming. She's equally capable with both, in any setting. She makes some of the most spectacular costumes and brings them to life with such energy and excitement. She IS Harley Quinn and is just as sexy and crazy as the character was meant to be. She's done a plethora of costumes and pieces and always comes up with the next amazing thing to be done. A fellow Sailor Moon fan, and a comic lover at heart, I am always excited to stalk this girls photos and see what she has in store.
*Alice Malice
Alice Malice Fan Page
Alice's passion for dark and strange is what makes her different. She chooses the off-beat and makes it sexy and eye-catching. She created and modeled a Pokemon character! And so well! She dedicates herself to the character and making that character real and alluring. I suppose she does what any cosplayer is attempting to do, commit. Make it real. Make you want to chill with this character and maybe make a move huh? She's got a wide range of costumes, many I've never even seen, so its difficult to pick a favorite. I suppose I could narrow it down to her very new Jubilee, because she's perfectly energetic, and her Elvira, because that hair really looks amazing on her.
So this is the first round. Go check these hotties out, fan their pages and sit on the edge of your seat awaiting the next amazing costume they produce.
I'll be posting another round soon, so you might want to start now.

5 Surprisingly Sexy Movies
As can be expected, I love movies. I love strange and not always mainstream movies.
I've found that I find a lot of movies sexy that most people don't see that way. My friends understand though.
Here stands my five favorite movies that are surprisingly sexy even though you wouldn't at first think they would be.
The Ninth Gate
(Starring Johnny Depp)
While at first I believe one would think this is sexy due to the main star... One would be wrong. Johnny Depp is generally a very attractive man. His character in this movie is actually rather bland, and he plays it well. He's mildly awkward, lacking in control and generally a petty bastard. Well written indeed. What really makes this movie so alluring is Polanski's ability to make a movie where very little physical action happens into a sexy sexy feeling. The music is inspired, the colors are deep and rich and the tone is pure sex. At least it is to me... I don't know if anyone agrees with me. My friends don't seem to feel the same way... ah well.
Quills
(Starring Kate Winslet, Geoffrey Rush and Joaquin Phoenix)
If you're anything like me, you'll find this to be one HOT cast. The subject, however, isn't so much sexy as lurid. The story, without wanting to give a spoiler alert, is *based* on the life of the Marquis de Sade. The infamous writer of lots of sexually perverse stories. The man had a wild side he was determined to share with everyone in naughty, dirty and often disgusting detail. So how could I find this movie sexy? It just is. The feeling, the entire way, is gritty and a bit wrong. You feel as though you, as the viewer, is doing something you really aren't supposed to be doing. Doesn't everyone find it sexy to break a couple of rules? I don't know, but between Kate Winslet's lovely breasts (giggle), Joaquin Phoenix playing a very sexy man of God and Geoffrey Rush being the dirtiest and most vile character he's ever played... good things happen.
Mary Reilly
(Starring Julia Roberts and John Malkovich)
This story is technically a Jekyll/Hyde story. I suppose that deserves a spoiler alert, but really... it's in the story. The rest I won't give away. Mary Reilly is a timid character and John Malkovich is a cold and distant Dr. Jekyll. Still, this movie is steamy in a strange way. It gets into you; makes you think and feel. It has very little, if any, real sex to speak of and yet whispers it in every scene. I have difficulty convincing people to watch this movie, it's very serious. I highly suggest anyone watch it though, it's spectacular and really well acted.
L.A. Confidential
(Starring Guy Pierce, Russell Crowe, Kevin Spacey, Kim Basinger and several other well-known people)
Not to be too obvious, but this movie really has it all. Corruption, conspiracy, sex, violence and excellent acting. I suppose it's not TOO strange a selection, but I found that it isn't generally considered a sexy movie. Maybe it's just that I'm obsessed with history and well produced movies that take place in a different time. I LOVED the costuming, the story is phenomenal, the actors play their parts so damn well... I fell in love with this movie. I felt for each and every character and I never wanted it to stop. Yes, there are a few steamy sex scenes, but the entire movie is misty with sexual tension. Even the Danny DeVito scenes. Just typing about it right now I want to go immerse myself in it again. The fantastic and dramatic music calls to me. The gritty characters set in a Hollywood-hazed scene. Yes L.A. Confidential, I will be your mistress.
Center Stage
(Starring a bunch of kids you've probably never heard of)
Don't laugh. This is one of my favorite movies ever. With the exception of a very well-casted but very strange addition of Zoe Saldana, most of these actors have never been taken seriously and I don't remember seeing many of them since this movie. I can't say it isn't well-done though. It has the teeny-bopper feel that most people abhor. It appears to be the bubble-gum life that never really touches reality and thus is just redolent of SUCK. I know. I've received the looks many times when I say I LOVE this movie.
Lets move onto why I do love this movie. The story is surprisingly real. It's about shitty people, making good friends out of the people around you and learning, inevitably, to take yourself seriously. I know, ballet is so passe, but I'm not going to judge. I love dancing, and a movie with good dancing is always a great uplifter. Think of Chicago (one that almost made this list) or Moulin Rouge (another almost-lister). Great dancing and excellent accompanying music always makes you feel good. We may not all be fans of musicals, as I am, but sometimes it works so well you HAVE to accept it. This movie isn't actually a musical, but it is about dancing and music and life. What's sexier than that? I also have to add that the music, a selection of late 1990's/early 2000's rock and pop is still a great mix to dance, exercise or grind to. It does to me what Dirty Dancing did for everyone several years ago; without getting "She's Like The Wind" stuck in your head.
I apologize for getting that song stuck in your head, but it had to be done. Maybe you should read some more blogs to knock it loose.

Biggie, can't you see? Sometimes your words just hypnotize me.
It has been suggested I should write a follow up blog to my "what ladies like in men" blog. Here it is.
The women of my acquaintance are very open and realistic women. While I won't define them as gay OR straight, they are aware of the attractiveness of other women. I think this is because they are such extremely attractive women themselves, but that's just my thoughts. As is usual, we have discussed what we find attractive in other women at length. We tend to discuss anything of interest "at length."
My lady friends are aware of the normal expectations of the female form. Breasts, tush, nice legs, etc. I think those are going to be labeled as obvious as well as subject to variations depending on the particular lady.
In my experience my female friends are drawn to women with artistic skills or appearance/thoughts. A chick who openly spends time pursuing artistic hobbies is going to be thought highly of. If she's attending an artistic class she's probably going to be taken into consideration. Sewing is very sexy (and not for its obvious sexist implications). The same thoughts apply to cooking or baking. There are a few ladies of our acquaintance that have designed their own clothing line or something similar. These ladies are very sexy.
A lady who wears glasses is hot. Glasses, especially on a girl with freckles, is just the cutest thing. I suppose it leads into the "smart girls are sexy" idea, which is totally true.
A reasonable follow up to that belief is that GEEKY girls are cute. Chicks that are into video games, cartoons, comics, etc are super attractive. My personal biggest chick crushes are generally costumers on the convention scene. I like a geek girl in costume, I fully admit it.
My friends tend to be drawn to chicks who dress themselves eclectically. Interesting patterns or cuts in clothing. Strange accessory choices. Out-of-date hair cuts. Yes, yes, yes.
Chicks love other confidant chicks. A lady that has confidence in herself, in her choices and in her body is hot. Burlesque dancers are hot. Chicks that do alternative modeling are hot. There is a certain dancer of my acquaintance that used to dance for a goth band, she's super hot. Of course she also has a robot toy collection and loves to do puzzles... She's very hot.
My lady friends, they like tattoos. Sexy tattoos, not trashy. A female covered in interesting/geeky/meaningful tattoos is very attractive. Likewise a chick with a few simple tattoos that she has carefully chosen, very attractive. I met a burlesque dancer (at the Atomic Holiday Bazaar no less) who had the Duck Hunt duck tattooed on her chest. I'm still a little bit in love with that stranger.
What do I love about the ladies I consider to be my friends? So much. I love that they all sew to some degree. I love that the one finds baking to be her favorite passtime. I think its hot that they all have a lovely set of breasts. I think its just as hot that several of them often wear glasses. I'm attracted to these women because they're awesome. Some like to costume. Most have interesting and sexy tattoos. Some dye their hair in crazy awesome colors. They're all artistic. Some are painters, some draw. A few of these women are as into the English language as I am. A lot of these women enjoy comics and the ren faire. Among them there are red heads, brunettes, blondes and shades in between. They love dragons, chemistry, reading, super heroes, history, fantasy, science fiction, dinosaurs, music, and oh so much more. The women of my acquaintance are some of the sexiest, most interesting and amazing women I know of.
I guess... this is dedicated to all of those women. I find you all to be very sexy and I hope you know it!

Things you should do
I don't live there anymore, but I do miss it sometimes. Sarasota is a place of old people. Has been since people started getting old and decided what they needed was a beach and "the arts" to be put in one place. It's no Greece, but it gets the job done.
I thought I would take some time to talk about the things I miss, and the things I think locals of that area should take advantage of.
For one, a person in the town should take some time to visit the Ringling Museum and Ca d'zan. This would also include the very special circus museum and rose garden.
If, in fact, you're not the artsy type... I think you'll still love this place. To avoid it when you have the chance to see it is a sacrilege. Within you will find a FANTASTIC selection of art, wonderful architecture and just a really neat and laid back place to chill. I urge you to check it out.
When you're done there you should go get lunch at Shakespeare's Pub. This is a little place with lots and lots of beer and amazing food. Seriously...
You should also try the beer cheese dip. To die for.
If you get the chance, and have some money, you neeeeeeed to stop by Lan on Main Street. Asian Fusion food that will make you cry with happiness. This is accompanied with excellent people and sake martini creations.
If you're out late, and crave a bit to eat that will knock your socks off with its simplistic ingredients... Stop by Street Meat. It's best when you're a little drunk, but its superb.
They're pretty awesome there and they tend to play old school music... and its right there on the street. Just near some great bars. Just go.
While you're there... go to the damn beach. It's the best beach in the world as far as I care, and its lovely. The sand is like powdered sugar, the sun is glorious and the people aren't worth looking at. So don't. Just enjoy the beach.
In case you're still lacking entertainment... which is difficult given the entirety of Main Street to visit... Try Ceviche. It's got roof-top samba music during the weekend evenings, and non-stop amazing food. Great for a group to munch on.
My all time favorite place to eat is Ham Heaven & Devil Dogs in Southgate. Rocky is the most amazing guy, the food is mind-blowing and I could listen to Rocky talk about his awesome kid all day. I have a few times...
Sometimes I crave nothing else like I do his amazing Chicago dog and homemade gravy covered tater tots. Don't tell me that doesn't sound amazing.
Ok, so after having lived there for quite some time I'm pretty impressed I like so much about it. As much as the driving often sucks ass, the pollen is annoying, the goddamn ants can be plague-like and there's no goddamn money... It's a pretty entertaining place. Lots to do, lots to see and sooooo much good food!!!
